SPINEFITTER by SISSEL®

Description

SISSEL® SPINEFITTER works on a simple premise: twenty-eight spheres arranged in two rows, positioned to follow the muscles either side of the spine. The firm-yet-yielding material and the spacing between the spheres are what make it work — lying on it is enough to begin.

For professionals, the SPINEFITTER is a tool for three things at once: mobility, stability and motor control. Which of the three you are working on is determined by how you instruct the movement, not by the tool itself.

What professionals use it for:

• Releasing tension and fascial adhesions. Concentrated pressure from the sphere arrangement works along the paraspinal muscles; directed movement over the spheres addresses fascial glide.
• Restoring joint play. The spacing between spheres creates room within the structure, allowing a greater range at individual segments.
• Shoulder girdle release. Supine positioning alone produces a noticeable change in shoulder girdle tone.
• Whole-body training. Head, shoulders, neck, lumbar spine, back, glutes, legs and the plantar surface of the foot.

The SPINEFITTER is taught through the HLA certification system. The exercises themselves are not difficult; teaching another person to perform them with the right position and intention is where the certification matters.
